AIIMS Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualifications
The following requirements must be fulfilled by candidates, depending on the position for which they are applying:
Nursing Officer:
- A current Nursing Council registration and a GNM or B.Sc. in nursing are required.
- It is preferred if you have experience in a hospital with 50 beds.
Civil Junior Engineer:
- A degree or diploma in civil engineering from an authorized institution.
Technician in the lab:
- A degree or diploma in medical laboratory technology (MLT).
The pharmacist:
- It is necessary to have a pharmacy degree from an approved school and to be registered with the State Pharmacy Council.
The stenographer:
- The student in the 12th grade passed with a typing speed of 35 words per minute (wpm) and a shorthand speed of 80 words per minute (wpm).

AIIMS Recruitment 2025 Notification: Selection Process
Several steps are involved in the selection process, depending on the position:
- Computer-Based Test (CBT): The CBT assesses candidates’ knowledge and aptitude, carrying a total of 400 marks. It is divided into five sections, each with a time limit of 18 minutes.
- Skill Test (For Special Posts): Candidates qualifying in the CBT proceed to the skill test, which evaluates practical competencies required for particular roles. This test is qualifying in nature.
- Document Verification and Final Selection: The original documents and certificates of shortlisted candidates are verified by the respective AIIMS/Institutes. Final selection is based on performance in the CBT, upon successful completion of the document verification process.
Exam Pattern
Using a multiple-choice question (MCQ) format, the AIIMS CRE Exam is intended to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and aptitude. The main points of the test are listed below:
- There are 100 multiple-choice questions on the exam.
- Four points are awarded for each right response.
- Each wrong response results in a 1/4 mark deduction.
- The test lasts for ninety minutes.
